*Point Lookout Oddities*
	Strange things about this little corner of the universe
*The speed limit is 15 MPH*
	*Why?*
*Who knows*
	But it's not that bad. The place is so little that - even at this ridiculously impossible speed - you can go from one end of town to the other in less than 5 minutes. By the way; the police occasionally enforce this silliness. People get speeding tickets for recklessly whizzing along at a *blazing* 25 MPH.
*They don't deliver the mail*
	*Again - Why?*
*Again - Who knows*
	And again - it's not that bad. This place is little. Almost anybody can walk to our Post Office in about 10 minutes. But nobody walks. Instead they hop in their car. Floor the thing all the way up to that blazing 15 MPH and drive 500 or 1000 FEET to the P.O.
*Nobody walks on the sidewalk*
	For The 3rd Time - Why?
For The 3rd Time - Who Knows
	Actually, people DO walk on the sidewalk on Lido Blvd. - our version of Broadway. But on every other street, everybody walks in the street. This has been a fact of life since the beginning of time. You can always tell a newcomer, or visitor, by the fact that you see them walking in that wholly unlikely place - the sidewalk. Don't fret. They learn fast. In a day or two, they're walking down the middle of the street too. Come to think about it, maybe that's why we have the 15 MPH speed limit. To keep drivers form mowing down all the people walking in the middle of the street.
