Here's An Aerial Photo

Of Point Lookout

As you can see, it's tiny - only 11 X 3 blocks.

The bridge in the upper left is the Loop Parkway. It will take you to Manhattan in 1/2 hour if there's no traffic.

The road leading to the Loop is Lido Blvd. It will take you to Lido & Long Beach (where you can catch the Long Island Railroad to NYC - a 47 minute ride). Lido Blvd. also takes you to the golf course - only 2 miles from Pt. Lookout.

On both side of the Loop Pkwy. bridge, you can see the municipal marinas.

At the bottom (south) of the photo is the Atlantic Ocean. To the right (east) is Jones Inlet. The very western edge of our famous neighbor, Jones Beach, can be seen on the lower right of the photo - across Jones Inlet from Pt. Lookout. The water at the top (north) is Reynolds Channel. The land north of Reynold's Channel is all nature preserve.
